Efrat LaMandre FNP-C, PHD is a Family Nurse Practitioner that owns and operates her own Family Medical practice, EG Healthcare. Her practice includes Primary care, for pediatric and adult as well as a home care division for patients 65+. The practice also prides itself in being LGBTQ friendly. She is the first Nurse Practitioner in Staten Island to own a medical practice autonomously. Her practice meet and exceeds industry standards and was one of the first practices in the area to achieve PCMH status.
Efrat founded a Functional Medicine practice called The Knew Method, where she empowers patients to take control of their health destiny and realize their symptoms are NOT in their head. She has a Podcast, and YouTube channel of the same name. She also authored an Amazon Bestseller entitle “It’s Not In Your Head” .
Additionally, “E” (as everyone calls her) owns a virtual Medical Scribe Company, Hawk Scribes that allows providers to focus on their patients instead of their charts.
In addition to her practice, Efrat is the Chair of the Staten Island University Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees. The mission of the foundation is to achieve philanthropic relationships for support and endowment, providing highest quality care, services and state of the art equipment. It helps improve the hospital’s healthcare, quality of life and better serve the patients and their families throughout our community.
She also sits on the Regional Council Executive Board of Staten Island University Hospital Northwell Health and is the Past-President of the Nurse Practitioner Association of NY.
“Professor E” is also Clinical Faculty at Wagner College. She lectures on several topics including Healthcare Finance and Policy. She also coordinates the physical clearance status for all the undergraduate nursing students of the college. She is also the Primary Care Provider for the City University New York, College of Staten Island Athletic Department.
