Our Story

I Wish This Existed Years Ago

When I graduated from NP school ( a million years ago), I struggled to bridge the gap between the books and the exam room and was nervous every day. I was lucky to have mentors who helped me close that gap. Years later, when I opened up my own practice, I saw NP students going through

the same thing I once did. So, I created a system to help boost clinical confidence — one that really worked. I’ve been using this system in my office for years, and eventually, I turned it into the courses you see here today. These videos are the real-deal insiders’ look at what it’s like in the exam room. I designed my unique clinical decision-making tool that you can use every patient every time to help you decide what to do best, and of course, I included the templates you need to add to your charts.

When I graduated from NP school (what feels like a million years ago), I struggled to bridge the gap between the books and the exam room, and I was nervous every day. I was fortunate to have mentors who helped me close that gap (one of them was my wife, Gina, who is also a clinician). Years later, when I opened up my own practice, I saw NP students facing the same challenges I once did. So, we created a system to help boost their clinical confidence and…. It worked! Every semester, we receive texts, emails, and visits from students who tell me how prepared they were for their first job because of the system they learned in my practice. So, eventually, we decided to turn it into the courses you see here today.

The lectures are different because they build upon the education you already received in school, so instead of focusing on the body system or the disease, they focus on the chief complaint. I designed the videos this way because patients don’t come in and say, “I have a myocardial infarction.” They say, “I have chest pain,” and you have to assimilate all of your learning into a clinical decision. In addition, you have to ensure that your documentation is thorough so that anyone who reads your charts knows how you got to that decision. This is why we also included the templates!

The courses have become so popular that even established NPs are using the courses as refreshers. Some NPs have taken a few years off for various reasons or have been in a specialty for many years and want to return to primary care. This series has been a gamechanger for them as well.

We put our hearts and years of experience into these courses. We are confident they will equip you with the clinical confidence you need to succeed.

OUR MISSION

What We Do

Our mission is to support the professional development and success of nurse practitioner students by boosting clinical confidence.

Our innovative approach focuses on practical application and real-world decision-making skills, ensuring your students graduate as confident NPs.

Our proprietary clinical bootcamp formula enhances clinical decision making skills, levels the playing field for all NP students and addresses the RN-NP gap.

WHO WE ARE

Two people are presenting at the "Primary Care Bootcamp" event. Both are dressed in black attire and speaking at podiums with event branding in the background, sharing insights that highlight "Our Story" in healthcare innovation.

We get it.

We see patients every day. In our primary care practice, EG Healthcare, our NPs take care of over 20,000 patients. So we know EXACTLY what it feels like to be in your shoes, and we designed this program directly from our experience in the real world.
